Sensual pleasures

You read that title above, and I know what you're thinking. And you're a little bit right. I'm thinking beyond sex.

I'm thinking about the birds chirping outside. The alarm clock piercing the delicate silence of the morning. The taste of yogurt in my mouth, its creamy texture and light, sweet smell. It's the feel of the bracelet around my wrist. It's the warmth of the socks on my feet. It will be the ease of moving through traffic in an hour. It was the feel of a soft, warm hand in mine. The taste of soft lips against mine. It is the pulse of energy I feel inside me. It will be the first feel of the morning air against my face. It was the sound of the wind whistling through the trees. It will be the sound of the rain beating against window tonight.

It is the beating of my heart.

Life isn't just about thinking. It's feeling, sensing. I think, yes.

But I feel, I sense, too. And I like those even better.
