Yesterday

Thirty-six years ago yesterday.

A young woman in a hospital.

Snow falling gently in the dark of an midevening.

Pains, screams, exhaustion.

Then the cries of a baby entering a new realm.

The woman may not have been ready for this. But she tried to give the baby everything that she could.

She did, and she still does.

And what about the baby?

The baby became a strong young man. The man is full of heart. Lots of it.

 

The young man lives today, and lives for tomorrow.
